It’s been a tragic weekend on Saskatchewan highways after two separate collisions has left two people dead.

The first crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 2 approximately 40 km south of Moose Jaw.

RCMP say it appears the collision was between a grain truck and a pickup truck.

The second fatal crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on Highway 13 approximately 2 km east of Arcola after a semi and a pickup collided.

The male driver of the pickup truck was rushed to hospital and was later pronounced dead.

RCMP say visibility was significantly reduced due to fog in the area.

No other details on either crash have been released and Mounties continue to investigate.
