HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — Health officials in Newfoundland and Labrador have confirmed the province's third death linked to the H1N1 virus.

The victim, a 63-year-old woman from the Labrador region, passed away late Saturday night in hospital, the Labrador Grenfell Regional Health Authority said in a news release.

The woman had "multiple underlying medical conditions," the release said.

No other information about the victim was released.
